We advise in connection with a broad range of business transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalisations, restructurings and reorganisations.
Our team also provides highly specialised assistance to financially distressed businesses, stakeholders and creditors involved in insolvency proceedings.
We represent both national and international clients on national and cross-border transactions.
At the national level we completed transactions from the initial stage, through due diligence, final agreements and regulatory clearances/licenses, including the acquisition of three banks, a private university, an administration service provider, a construction company, hotels and real estate, to name a few.
Our involvement in foreign transactions spans across many sectors from bottling plants through truck manufacturing and gold and silver mines, from steel through poultry farms, from duty free shops through and countless others.
In 2017, we undertook the biggest Court reorganisation ever to be undertaken in Cyprus. This involved the absorption by a Cypriot company of 17 other Cyprus companies (and their simultaneous dissolution) and the subsequent cross-border merger of the remaining Cyprus company with 8 Dutch companies, while dealing with the financing and securitisation restructuring of all companies involved.
Alexandros Economou is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner (since 2015, when the practice was regulated by law)
